About Luis Alejandro

Alejandro is Padel Coach at Thistle Padel and Barnton and has been coaching since May 2020. He is from San Sebastian (Spain) and has been playing padel since he was 8 years old at RCTSS. Currently, he is the top 40 of the LTA Padel ranking.

Alejandro loves padel and has practiced several racket sports like squash and tennis, so he understands the difficulties that players find when moving to padel. Therefore, he is able to coach players of all ages and abilities, enabling them to improve and play with confidence.

  • Sunday Social Padel

    Level: 3 - 7
    Every Sunday morning from 11am to 1pm, book in Social Padel and meet other padelistas to play some friendly matches! Social Padel is a great way to socialise and improve your game by sharing your experience of padel with others. This session is organised by the players and limited to 10 people to allow some rotation over the 2 hours. Cost is £8 per player.

  • Mexicano Tournament

    In a Mexicano Tournament, players are paired with a new teammate in each round. However, they are not guaranteed to team up with every player and they are not guaranteed to play against every player.

    The first round is random and then pairs are based on the leaderboard, so that number 1 and 4 are paired against number 2 and 3, number 5 and 8 are paired against 6 and 7, and so on.

    Mexicano is optimised for even matches with players of the same level playing together. The winner is the player with most points after the last round.
