Our 2 uncovered Padel courts are open at Chesham 1879! Register via the MATCHi webpage or App.
You can currently borrow rackets from the courts. Please look after them while playing! Balls are available but many are no longer of a god playing standard so you should bring your own or buy inside the clubhouse, when open.

Americano - Inter/Advanced Levels 5-6
Welcome to a fun series of 2 hour sessions aimed at the Inter/Advanced skill level (5+. Please speak to Nick/Matt or Carlos to be assigned a skill level if you’re not sure and then add it to your profile in MATCHi). They will run over approx 12 weeks, with your 6 best total scores (plus 10% of your other scores also) throughout the Spring Series counting to an overall league position, with the winner receiving some nice Padel prizes. Each player plays with each other once in a mini-game consisting of 32 points, 8 serves each, so a pair could win 32-0, or it is also possible to have a draw of 16-16. It’s a great way to meet new players, have lots of fun and build your matchplay confidence and skills. Cancellations with a refund can only be done 24 hrs in advance, as it is tough to find stand-ins at shorter notice and the tournament can't happen at all unless we have all 8 players there. Please only book if you're 100% sure of playing and add yourself to the waiting list if events are full.

Young Professionals Americanos
A fun social event aimed at professionals in their 20s and 30s to act as a good networking opportunity for like-minded individuals to make good contacts and future friends & padel partners. Players will also then have access to the club bar and get discounts of 25% on soft drinks/wine/spirits and £3 a pint.

A fun relaxed series of daytime Americanos aimed at anyone who can rally, use the glass and volley, upwards. Cancellation not possible after 24 hours before the start time as it’s difficult to get replacements during the day at such short notice, so please only book if you’re sure you can play. Your top 6 scores, plus 10% of all your other scores, throughout the series, count towards a Winner and Runner-Up trophy.

Beginners Coaching - Level 1-2.25
This is not for players completely new to Padel - a fundamental understanding of the rules should be gained through the intro to Padel sessions. This is however for players still learning to control the shots to various directions, learn new shots and tactics and get introduced to playing off of the glass.
Each Session will focus on a key shot/technique or tactical move used regularly in Padel. Across the next 6 weeks from W/c 13th April - W/c18th May, the structure will be as follows

Advanced/Team Level Coaching
This for players at team level looking to represent the club. This is invite only so if you are interested in attending, please do let us know you are keen and we will discuss with you.
The focus will be more on Matchplay - working as a pair, making the correct decisions and executing tactics effectively. We will follow the same theme as all groups and adapt accordingly.
All players should be familiar with the strokes in Padel and the intermediate sessions become more focused on the tactical usage of these strokes, how to implement them effectively, recover from these positions and more advanced tactics ensuring decision making skills are accurate.
